There are disagreements in the Toronto School district on weather or not to suspend the School Resource Officer program. The program puts police officers in school to provide safety for the children, but many among the Black Lives Matter group of protesters feel this is a form of profiling and the program is not only targeting schools that are predominately black, but also black students. At the board meeting, the BLM group used bully tactics to attempt to get their point across and end the SRO program. Even as other minority teachers and students spoke on behalf of their positive experiences with the program, the BLM group berated them. A final decision on how to proceed with the program will be submitted by the end of the year.

- Some five-year-olds are being handcuffed in schools. One person’s five-year-old child witnessed firsthand police brutality in school.
- Members of the police services board will be in schools to see how the SRO program is working.
