I have published a discovery guide and video animation for kids on Geo-location.
This fun, useful and yet dangerous feature on our modern communication devices creates a potential threat that police officers and community leaders must deal with.
This package will make a wonderful lesson plan for police on Geo-tagging.
The PDF guide was designed to assist school resource officers and law-enforcement in reaching out to elementary grade children and their parents about the safety issues surrounding geo-location/tagging.
The first three pages of the guide are the article (based on the video narration).
You can watch my video here as well:
It is a wonderful introduction for kids on Geo-Location; how it works, what it is for, how it impacts their life and the danger of geo-location.
You can read the internet version of the article here .
The booklet has eye-catching illustrations as does the video.
Following the article, you’ll find two pages of “My Safety Tips on Geo-Tagging” and a worksheet for grades 4-6.
If you are a member of a law-enforcement agency, you have my blessing to use, reproduce and distribute the booklet to the population you serve.
You may not be aware of this but I also run a kid’s website. You may want to use this page to present the video to a classroom.

We want to reach as many of our young friends as possible.
If your agency has a section offering safety downloads to your population, you are welcome to publish this booklet for download as well.
The booklet and access to the video is free. If you want to customize the booklet and video to show and print your agency logo, send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org, it’s not that much money.
